At present, China has fully entered the urban era. The city is the "locomotive" to comprehensively build a well-off society, and to speed up the realization of the modernization. The urban working concepts should be transformed from the traditional "economic thinking" to the "urban thinking" under the new normality. It is put forward in the study that we should firmly grasp the characteristics of the urban regularity of our province, update the "urban thinking", and use the development, space, shared, ecological and systematic thinking to understand, build and develop the city; the urban model shall be innovated, and ensure the “flexible adjustment” method of structural adjustment with the implementation of the important tasks of the structural reform of supply side so as to boost the economic growth. The new urbanization shall be regarded as the lead to optimize the regional spatial pattern, and flexibly implement the policy of "flexible adjustment", and strengthen the urban planning and construction management, so as to step out a path for urbanization and urban development with unique characteristics of Guangdong province.
