On March 26th, the institute signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Institute Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Railway Fourth Institute") in Wuhan. Han Xiangyang, Deputy Dean of Railway Fourth Institute, and Qiu Yanqing, Dean of the institute attended the signing ceremony. Deputy Dean Wang Hao signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement between both parties on behalf of the institute. The departments such as Urban Development Research Center, Big Data Center, Planning Institute No.2 and so on attended the signing ceremony.
Signing Symposium (I)
At the signing symposium, both parties exchanged views on the project progress plan and work division of the Construction Plan for Intercity Rail in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Deputy Dean Han Xiangyang said that Railway Fourth Institute has rich experience in urban rail transit planning and construction. The Guangdong Urban and Rural Planning Institute has a better understanding of the regional and urban development strategies, spatial structure, etc., of the Bay Area and is full of confidence in the long-term cooperation between both parties achieved through learning from each other and cross-boundary integration. It is hoped that both parties would give full play to their skills respectively and strive to contribute to reaching the international level of the inter-city rail planning and construction in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Dean Qiu Yanqing and Deputy Dean Wang Hao introduced the basic situation of the institute in terms of development strategy, market areas, technical expertise and project types, ettc. Mr. Qiu said that as a first-class comprehensive design enterprise of urban rail transit in China, Railway Fourth Institute has abundant experience in the planning and construction of major railway infrastructures. It is hoped that both parties would seize the opportunity of signing the strategic cooperation framework agreement and further strengthen their professional advantages through cooperation. Moreover, both parties should jointly expand cooperation space in more fields such as urban and rural planning and construction, rail transportation, new urban development, urban renewal and so on, so as to make positive contributions to the quality development in Guangdong's urban and rural areas and the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
