Strategic cooperation agreement signed between the Institute and Binhai Bay New District, Dongguan City

On April 11, the institute signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Dongguan Binhai Bay New District and Dongguan Port Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the New District”) in Dongguan.

On April 11, the institute signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Dongguan Binhai Bay New District and Dongguan Port Management Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the New District”) in Dongguan. The strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed by the Party Group members of municipal government of Dongguan, Deputy Secretary of Party Working Committee of the New District, and Huang Shaofeng, Director of the Management Committee and Yan Yanqing, President of the institute under the witness by Zhang Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Dongguan Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of New District, Chen Zhijun, Deputy Director of the Dongguan Urban and Rural Planning Bureau, Sun Haibo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of New District and Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Zhou Zhongwang, member of the Party Working Committee of New District and Deputy Director of the Management Committee as well as the Chief Engineer Ma Xiangming, Deputy Dean Wang Hao and Zhou Yuan, Deputy Director of the Third Planning Institute. The relevant leaders and departments of the New District and the Third Planning Institute (including the Bay District Branch) and the municipal administration departments and so on participated in the signing ceremony.

 
Signing Ceremony

Located in the geometric center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, Dongguan Binhai Bay New District has been listed as one of the top five key platforms for the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and one of the ten core platforms of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor. It is the core area for Dongguan to connect with Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the new engine to lead the development of Dongguan in the next 30 years. Thanks to the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement, the institute will carry out more extensive in-depth cooperation with the new district, so as to provide the continuous and high-quality and overall process services covering the planning and design, construction and implementation of the new district development and construction, and to further bring the technology strength of the “Bay Area Institute” of the institute, so as to strengthen the brand influence and industry competitiveness of the institute in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

After the signing ceremony, both parties exchanged views on the project progress of the Series Planning of Urban Master Plan of Dongguan Binhai New Bay District which was under process. The Chief Engineer Ma Xiangming and Chief Planner Chen Weijin made the detailed report on the preliminary plan for the urban master plan of the New District, and conducted the in-depth discussions on the major topics for the new district planning and construction such as the functional layout of the new district, road traffic and industrial development and so on with the participating leaders and departments of the new district. As a result, a good consensus has been formed, which provided a solid foundation for the deepening and improvement of the master planning.

The planning concept of “group development and axial zone development” put forward by the institute has been highly recognized by the various leaders of the new district. In the next step, based on the work requirements of the new district, the institute will further deepen the major topics including the cooperation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, linkage of the pattern of Dongguan municipal administrative area, promotion of major transportation infrastructure, planning of Binhai landscape corridor, etc.
