In this paper, in order to carry forward the new urbanization and ensure the implementation of the urban work under the background of the supply-side structural reform, the contradiction between supply and demand in the city is conducted from the supply and demand sides, and the general objective of building the people-oriented high quality city in the urban supply-side structural reform is put forward, and the emphasis shall be given to the effective supply of the factors such as urban land, labor force, capital, technology, etc.; in addition, some thoughts and suggestions are proposed on how to promote the structural reform of the urban supply side in Guangdong Province from the perspective of planning, construction, management and the integration of planning, construction and management. By strengthening the urban planning and construction management, as a key link and effective grasp of the urban supply side structural reform, the transformation and innovation of urban and rural development and construction model can be promoted.

Based on the extended application of big data technology in the planning industry in recent years, the institute has carried out a series of explorations and studies and accumulated certain achievements and experiences. By sorting out the existing research results, key emphases in work can be roughly summarized into four aspects: data standard setting, model innovation and application, multi-source data analysis, and the refined planning and design relying on big data. It can be said that the big data analysis application system in the institute has been formed initially.

Cross border economic belt development planning research

The blue book is compiled once a year and has been carried out for two years. By reviewing and evaluating the work progress of the new urbanization construction in Guangdong Province over the past year, the relevant requirements of new urbanization planning in the national and the whole province shall be coordinated, and the comprehensive evaluation index system of the new urbanization development in Guangdong Province is constructed; the construction of the new urbanization construction situation of 21 cities above prefecture level in the whole province is assessed and sorted, with a view to sum up the law and find out the problems, and put forward the targeted recommendations of countermeasures for the reference in government decision-making.
